Privacy
Short version: we collect almost nothing, and nothing we collect is sold or shared.
What this site collects
- Analytics. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-first counter that records page views without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing personal data. We see aggregate counts, not you.
- Server logs. Our CDN (Amazon CloudFront) keeps standard access logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
The newsletter
If you subscribe to DeskTested Weekly, your email address is stored by beehiiv, our newsletter platform, and used only to send you the newsletter. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. See beehiiv's privacy policy for how they handle data.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, no third-party cookies, no data sales.
- Affiliate links (always disclosed on the page) may set the vendor's own referral cookie when you click them — that happens on the vendor's site, under their policy.
Questions or removal requests
Email desk@desktested.com, or reply to any issue of the newsletter — a human reads both. Unsubscribing removes your email from the list.
